The property combines the sophistication of city living with the charm of an old Cape Dutch farm, where all aspects have been carefully curated as part of a larger canvas.
Pine Ridge Farm was the perfect blank canvas on which the
owners could paint the backdrop to a life of tranquil nature and ample
space. The house echoes the kaleidoscope of colour found in the garden
and forest – all tied together by form, tone, texture and materials.
The manor house captures the romance and richness
of farmstyle living, while still glamorously retaining
a love and appreciation of art and sophistication.
It is in this house where Branko and Saša’s father-son
teamwork is not the main player, but the unsung
hero of making things work better.

When the owners renovated the
century-old house, it was important for them
to bring the outside inside. Downstairs was perfect
with double volume ceilings, large fireplaces
and big sash windows with sweeping views
from every corner. Upstairs the thatched roof
was replaced and raised to create space
for large windows and skylights –
allowing in an abundance of light.
The dressing room embodies the richness
of this house. It is spacious, colourful, interesting
and opulent. A coffee table dressed with fresh
flowers is centred among cupboards that open
up and pull out to reveal a need for order
among the collection of clothes,
shoes and accessories.
